The Childhood Kidney Support Network (CKSN) aims to enhance the lifestyle, health and wellbeing of children who have chronic kidney disease and their parents through our Parent Support Group and Kidney Kids.
The CKSN Team has been having a great time visiting the Children's Renal Clinics at the Royal Children's Hospital over the past months. It has been such a pleasure to meet with parents and their children and chatting about the services we offer.
Kidney Kids Create Cupcakes!Fun was had by all at the Mater Children’s Hospital when CKSN conducted their Kidney Kids Create Cupcakes Day. Kidney kids, their parents, nurses, doctors and medical staff enjoyed a great day decorating (and eating!) cupcakes. Whilst the children were very busy spreading icing on cakes, the CKSN team was spreading the word about the network and its services.
A very big thank you to CKSN mums, Simone and Vicki, their families and friends who donated a laptop to the hospital for the use of kidney kids and their parents during their stays in hospital.

The CKSN Team had a fantastic time at our Morning Tea at the Royal Children's Hospital on Friday, 30 October. We all enjoyed coffee, biscuits and the very popular Halloween 'Body Parts' Lollies - a huge hit with the kids!!
It was wonderful to meet all the parents and children and thank you for signing up to join CKSN. Keep an eye out for our eNewsletters, invitations to our Parent Support Group Meetings and alerts.
The CKSN Parent Support Group offers compassion, encouragement, experience, inspiration, strength and hope.In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, parents discuss and share experiences and advice relating to their children’s illnesses and how to live a full and active life despite kidney disease.
